The IX250P/IX230P-UC cartridge has a 4 stage filtration system.
The suffix P designates the addition of an anti-scale stage which reduces the presence of limescale deposits in very hard water areas.
Stage 1: Ceramic filtration medium (1 micron) eliminates 99.8% of bacteria and 98% of suspended solids.
Stage 2: Carbon of high quality with special silver impregnation dramatically reduces chlorine and dissolved organic pollutants such as agro-chemicals, solvents, THM's, TCE's, PCB's, etc.
Stage 3: Ion Exchange system specific to heavy metals dramatically reduces lead, aluminium, copper, mercury, cadmium, iron, etc.
Stage 4: Block carbon ultra-efficient stage further reduces chlorine, dissolved organic matter and particulates, finally polishing the water.

. It is important to change the filter on time. The taste goes off rapidly once the 6 months is up. Fortunately Pozzani always remind us in plenty of time.

. IF I HAVE ONE COMPLAINT IT IS THE SPEED OF WATER FLOW WHICH SOMETIMES CAN BE RATHER SLOW.
