The Whirpool 4396508 water filter is the new filter designed to fit all Whirpool fridges that have cartridges fitting in the base grille.
It replaces the 4392857, offering better performance including the removal of additional contaminants.
The cartridge is designed to replace any of the part numbers listed below:
- Whirlpool 4392857
- Whirlpool 4396509
- KitchenAid 4396163
- KitchenAid 4396547
- Whirlpool 461951401681 / 4619 514 01681 / 2203220
This cartridge greatly improves the taste of domestic mains water by removing contaminants such as chlorine, lead, mercury, benzene, carbofuran and most particulate matter.
The Whirlpool range of cartridges are designed to be replaced every six months or when the 'replace cartridge' light comes on (if fitted).
If the fridge remains unused for any period of time greater than two weeks (e.g. moving house), the manufacturer recommends changing the cartridge.
This cartridge also fits Caple refrigerators where the cartridge fits beneath the fridge doors in the base grille.

When ordering there is no "final page" which includes all the ordering details, i.e. product, name, delivery address, bank details. this is normal on most web sites. from the time you select your product you do not view it again until the order is processed. So if you have clicked the wrong product......................

. 2. When you have completed your order you are given a page with all this detail on and told to "print this page for your records"- There is no print button to click on this page.
