The RIX250 improves more than just the taste of water, however, as its five stage filtration system greatly reduces a broad spectrum of pollutants whilst leaving the useful minerals largely intact.
The five stage filtration system is comprised of the following:
Stage One - 1 micron fabric screen
Stage Two - Lower bed compacting plate with screen
Stage Three - Multi-media filter bed for chlorine, metal and hardness reduction
Stage Four - 1 micron secondary filtration screen
Stage Five - High quality 1 micron carbon block for chlorine and dissolved organic chemical removal and final polish.
The system has been thoroughly tested with all components Water Research Centre listed and BS6920 conforming. Installation is simple and maintenance of the system is easy; the cartridge only requires changing once every six months. The cartridge itself is glue-less and pulls apart meaning it can be separated into recyclable components at the end of its service life and disposed of in your weekly recycling bin.
This water filter removes up to 95% of most heavy metals, including lead, aluminium, iron, copper and cadmium, as well as removing up to 90% of dissolved organic material such as pesticides, herbicides and oil residues. Chlorine removal is excellent at up to 99%, which is why the odour and taste of the water is significantly improved.

. It took minutes to fit, although this was helped by the sink being already drilled and a feed pipe connected.
. Very pleased with both the quality and price and particularly with the water flow which is probably double that of the old filter system.

. It was very easy to fit. All the fitting instructions were clear, and as I have no knowledge of plumbing I was a little apprehensive about the connections, but I needn't have worried because they worked perfectly.
. The tap fitted very neatly onto the sink unit, but I could not put the chrome washer on the tas as the edge of the sink was not wide enough. It still looks good without it.
. No leaks and water very clear and tastes good.

. that is a breeze to fit, I did mine in under 30 mins. Comes with excellent instructions and build quality is very good. In addition to being a steal at £43.99 it came with free postage What more could you want ?
