The RIX250 improves more than just the taste of water, however, as its five stage filtration system greatly reduces a broad spectrum of pollutants whilst leaving the useful minerals largely intact.
The five stage filtration system is comprised of the following:
Stage One - 1 micron fabric screen
Stage Two - Lower bed compacting plate with screen
Stage Three - Multi-media filter bed for chlorine, metal and hardness reduction
Stage Four - 1 micron secondary filtration screen
Stage Five - High quality 1 micron carbon block for chlorine and dissolved organic chemical removal and final polish.
The system has been thoroughly tested with all components Water Research Centre listed and BS6920 conforming. Installation is simple and maintenance of the system is easy; the cartridge only requires changing once every six months. The cartridge itself is glue-less and pulls apart meaning it can be separated into recyclable components at the end of its service life and disposed of in your weekly recycling bin.
This water filter removes up to 95% of most heavy metals, including lead, aluminium, iron, copper and cadmium, as well as removing up to 90% of dissolved organic material such as pesticides, herbicides and oil residues. Chlorine removal is excellent at up to 99%, which is why the odour and taste of the water is significantly improved.

. So to some up, we are really happy with the IX250 and would recommend it, I am now waiting to see how much the replacement filters cost to see if we make a saving there as well!
. As for Pozzani, I placed the order in the afternoon, and received the kit the next day - you cannot complain at that!

. One problem is that both the O-rings where the spout meets the main housing are damaged and leak when the tap is operated.

. I have just moved to another house and we have again ordered the pozzani kitchen spring water system and it was easy to fit like it says on the box, and again wonderful fresh water. The only mistake i have made is not ordering a larger/taller tap. Our old system had a taller tap so just needed to put the kettle straight under to fill, at the moment its a jug needed to fill the kettle. The taste is pure just like spring water sheer bliss.

. One (small) criticism - no where in the literature (especially on the website) did it mention that the flexi-tubes only fitted a certain size pipe. Our pipes were a different size and we had to buy another flexi-pipe to enable us to fit the system.
