This FilterLogic HM600 cartridge is designed for use in 10" Ametek/Pentek housings as well as Liff and Culligan. It removes heavy metals, suspended solids and scale forming minerals from incoming mains water which prevents scum on hot drinks and scale in your kettle.

Description

The FilterLogic HM600 is a dealkalisation filter designed specifically to remove heavy metals from the water supply. It fits inside a standard 10" Ametek/Pentek style housing and for drinking water applications, should last approximately 3 months under regular domestic usage.

Whilst this cartridge will remove the scum and scale associated with hard water, which is caused by calcium and magnesium ions in the water, it should always have a post-filter installed which is carbon based.

This filter is typically used for drinking water, however, it is also used by aquarium owners and other hobbyists. Please note that like with all ion-exchange filters, this filter will create a proportional pH drop depending on how 'hard' the influent water is.

Excellent kit and very easy to fit if you are at all technically minded. The most difficult thing was getting under the sink, that and what to do with the things I took out.
.
. If you are in a very hard water area (we are 460 +) then you may need extra hardness filters (first stage), depending of course on your usage - I’m hoping I can work a deal with Pozzani!?!? (hello Pozzani!)

I would have bought a larger quantity to provide economies of sale benefit (this would also improve Pozzani's cash flow), however the cost an postage was the same for each item.

. As a consequence I itend to only order one spare when I use my current spare filter.

. I hope that Pozzani marketing add an incentive by passing on quantity savings to the customer.

When I moved to the Midlands from Yorkshire some years ago I was horrified by the amount of scum on my cups of tea and thought I might have to move back to Yorkshire to get a decent cuppa. Then I discovered this filter and its sister the IX600 and have been able to enjoy my tea ever since. They are very easy to fit and I have always had excellent service from Pozzani.

I ordered this product hoping that the other reviews were correct - they indeed appear to be from the results I achieved. I had only just de-scaled my kettle and it had already shown signs of calcification. I was previously having to de-scale it every 2 or 3 weeks and the water tasted "gritty". Tea was a decided grey colour and pretty foul! Not only was the new filter very easy to fit (within an hour - and Im no DIYer!) but it started working immediately, but it even cleared the scale that had already started in the kettle. It is as good as having your own water softener for drinking water without the after-taste that softened water leaves. The taste of the water from this filter (together with the general purpose one) enhances anything it is mixed with. I have now rediscovered the taste of tea!
. I would recommend this product to anyone with a hard water problem who likes to drink pure water.

a very good service, i like the fact i get a reminder when my water filters are ready for renewal and i can order new one,s from that e mail also they are very reasonably priced. i have also noticed a big difference in my appliance's e g kettle iron ect with virtually no lime scale, a good product.

After years of limescale from a private supply, filtered using a jug sytem, we bought a twin filter system from Pozzani and have not regretted the move. Given the degree of limescale we have, the time interval for replacement of cartridge is shorter than we would have liked. (The heavier the contamination, the harder the filter works, the quicker it blocks.) You may not have our degree of scale in your supply -nor may you drink as much tea as we do!

. We were advised to combine the HM600 filter with the IX600 General Purpose filter in order to condition the water after de-alkerisation and we have no complaints. It just works. Replacement filters are despatched promptly and are easy to fit.

. So it's not cheap, but then you get what you pay for and what we've got is great quality water from a bench-mounted tap and no sludge in the teacup. If you have a limescale problem, this is for you.

Have always used "original" LIFF filters but am very pleased with the Pozzani replacement. So far it seems every bit as good as the LIFF.
