These 0.5 micron carbon block filters, fit all 10” industry standard slimline housings. The CB10M005 removes Chlorine, dissolved organics, THMS, VOCs and sediment to approximately 0.5 micron.
In the UK most carbon block cartridges filter down to 5 micron, however these are much finer at 0.5 micron and have a higher affinity to removing suspended solids as these are sintered as well. Sintered carbon blocks use less binder and therefore contain a higher ration of carbon to volume therefore has a higher surface area for filtration. This allows more water through without any loss of filtration performance, greatly increasing the efficiency of the filter.
The advised life of these filters is 6 months however this does not take into account water quality or usage.
