Most fridge filter suppliers in the UK typically supply 10 cartridges, and whilst these are great value for money (in fact our own GS10J cartridge is the number 1 selling fridge filter in the UK), the filter is slightly different in terms of dimensions and capacities to the standard WSF-100.
This 12" version of an inline filter is the same size as the Samsung WSF100 and will fit existing brackets. Being a little larger it also offers enhanced filtration performance due to the extended contact time with the media. Comes with JACO 'thumb nut' threaded fittings

. Not exactly the same fit, as uses screew connections in place of the Original push fit, but comes with a suitable tools to allow for easy install.

. However, living in a very hard water area, I am not convinced tha these filters do as good a job as the original in filtering the limescale out.

. Both the original and the compatible only contain activated carbon, which cannot remove limescale at all (this require dealkalisation resins). The filters supplied by samsung and by us are Tase and Odour filters, meaning they are designed to remove chlorine and dissolved organics so your chilled water tastes -fresh-. Limescale isn't a taste issue, and therefore the cartridges do not, by way of design, deal with it. If your ice cubes appear a little whiter than usual on changing a filter this is usually trapped air in the filter and pipes which does settle after a week or two, and is, to be honest equally as much of a problem with all filter changes - although the extent can vary quite a bit just depending on circumstance.

. Samsung use both thumb nut fittings (like ours) and push fit, depending on the time you bought your fridge you may have one or the other, but in either case our cartridge will readily replace your existing (tube sizes etc are identical).
