This cartridge is designed low pH water (usually when pH is below 6.0 or a high flow rate). The pH can be raised to neutral or even alkaline conditions. Jurapearl (calcium) and Corosex (magnesium) media are added or dosed to the water to ‘re-harden’ the supply.
This cartridge is also ideal for treating water that has been through a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. Output water from a RO system can taste bland due to the removal of the water's mineral content. Running water through a remineralisation cartridge after the RO system will provide you with virtually pure water – the addition of clean refined calcite and magnesium revives the fresh water taste.
This filter should last six months in most domestic installations depending on overall water quality and usage.
