The IX250P/IX230P-UC cartridge has a 4 stage filtration system.
The suffix P designates the addition of an anti-scale stage which reduces the presence of limescale deposits in very hard water areas.
Stage 1: Ceramic filtration medium (1 micron) eliminates 99.8% of bacteria and 98% of suspended solids.
Stage 2: Carbon of high quality with special silver impregnation dramatically reduces chlorine and dissolved organic pollutants such as agro-chemicals, solvents, THM's, TCE's, PCB's, etc.
Stage 3: Ion Exchange system specific to heavy metals dramatically reduces lead, aluminium, copper, mercury, cadmium, iron, etc.
Stage 4: Block carbon ultra-efficient stage further reduces chlorine, dissolved organic matter and particulates, finally polishing the water.

. In the area in which i live, the water always tastes of fluoride and you could even smell it as you put your drink to your lips. I wasted loads and loads of cups of coffee.
. However, i don't have that problem anymore now that i have my purifier.
. I also like the fact that you can order on line at anytime when you need a new cartridge.
. My son fitted my first cartridge, and then said that it was so easy to fit that i would be able to do it on my own in future.
. I found the instructions easy to follow, and fitted my last one by myself.
. All in all i am so pleased that i had it fitted, as i was spending a fortune on bottled water.
