The IX250P/IX230P-UC cartridge has a 4 stage filtration system.

The suffix P designates the addition of an anti-scale stage which reduces the presence of limescale deposits in very hard water areas.

Stage 1: Ceramic filtration medium (1 micron) eliminates 99.8% of bacteria and 98% of suspended solids.

Stage 2: Carbon of high quality with special silver impregnation dramatically reduces chlorine and dissolved organic pollutants such as agro-chemicals, solvents, THM's, TCE's, PCB's, etc.

Stage 3: Ion Exchange system specific to heavy metals dramatically reduces lead, aluminium, copper, mercury, cadmium, iron, etc.

Stage 4: Block carbon ultra-efficient stage further reduces chlorine, dissolved organic matter and particulates, finally polishing the water.

We have travelled full time in a motorhome all over Europe and North Africa and we used Pozzani filters all the time for drinking water. They have been great, no worries over water supplies. One cartridge may not last 6 months. We had one cracked filter which Pozzani replaced FOC

This and the HM600 - De-alkerlisation unit run in tandom on my set up. And the set up has been running for years with no problems what so ever. The Kettles stay clean and scum free for longer, the water tastes fine.

. The another posative point about Pozzani regarding products like this is replacement units if damaged in transit. Due to no fault of the packing, units have got damaged. Just a simple call is all it takes no hassle no questions and it was delivered the next day.

I ordered a new filter on 10 Aug. The order was confirmed but I never received it. I informed Pozzani and was asked to go to my local Mail sorting office and enquire as to its where abouts. After a search, the local post office said that it had not received a parcel. I informed Pozzani but have had no reply. It is now 20 days since I ordered the filter and have received nothing.

Since installing a simple water filter system using the Pozzani cartridges a few years ago we have had no problems and a ready supply of lovely water free from the taste of excessive chlorine and soft enough to make a good pot of tea. The system we fitted ourselves by the kitchen sink is convenient to use and has its own very handy tap operated by a lever. These cartridges are easier to use in practice than the jug variety which we used to use previously. We have not done a precise price comparison. We tend change the filter at intervals of four or five months (as against the six month recommended maximum).

Returns
