The IX250/IX230-UC cartridge has a 3 stage filtration system.
Stage 1:
Ceramic filtration medium (1 micron) eliminates 99.8% of bacteria and 98% of suspended solids.
Stage 2:
Carbon of high quality with special silver impregnation dramatically reduces chlorine and dissolved organic pollutants such as agro-chemicals, solvents, THM's, TCE's, PCB's, etc.
Stage 3:
Block carbon ultra-efficient stage further reduces chlorine, dissolved organic matter and particulates, finally polishing the water.

. On ordering the 6 month cartridge I was pleasantly surprised by the relatively low price.
. Fitting the cartridge was straight forward as the instructions were provided.
. The water tastes damn good. My old Brita jug is now taking a long rest underneath the sink, actually next to the Pozzani Water Filter!

. There are only two of us so the filters last their lifetime and more and produce tasty drinking water, it doesn't taste at all like the stuff that comes of of the tap in the middle of a city centre!
