The cartridge similarly removes heavy metals, sediment, and dissolved organics as the IX600 does. The only difference in this filter is that it targets Chloramine rather than Chlorine.
We would advise that before changing to the CA600 filter that you contact us or your local water supplier to confirm whether Chloramine is added to the water.
Depending on water quality and general usage this cartridge is designed to be changed every 6 months.

. On receipt of the cartridge, I did a 75% water change and could immediately see the difference in the fishes demeanour. Within 48 hours the blood was receding from their fins and within 4 days and another 50% water change they were completely blood-free and back to normal.
