The IX600P filter contains a combination of granulated carbon and an ion-exchange resin with an added ion-exchange media to reduce limescale. The cartridge is designed to reduce chlorine, sediment, heavy metals and dissolved organics in the water. The P suffix refers to the ion-exchange media that is added inhibits the scale and stops it from adhering to pipes and appliances.

Description

As shown below the IX600P works on a 4 stage filtration system:

Stage 1: Synthetic membrane and spun-polypropylene filters remove suspended solids such as dirt and rust.

Stage 2: Carbon of high quality with special silver impregnation dramatically reduces chlorine and dissolved organic pollutants such as agro-chemicals, solvents, THM's, TCE's, PCB's, etc.

Stage 3: Ion Exchange system specific to heavy metals dramatically reduces lead, aluminium, copper, mercury, cadmium, iron, etc.

Stage 4: Block Carbon ultra-efficient stage further reduces chlorine, dissolved organic matter and particulates, finally polishing the water.

This filter is used in both single and twin drinking systems and is designed to be changed every 6 months depending on how often it is used and the initial quality of water.

This is an excellent product and I am very confident that it does all that is claimed for it. In particular there is no doubt whatsoever that this Filter does remove any traces of Chlorine as an immediate comparison may be made by tasting water from the Kitchen Tap and the odour-free water from the adjacent Pozzani Filter Tap. The same results may be seen with even the finest sediment which is totally removed by the Filter. Frankly with the apparent increase in rainfall due to climate change and the greater risk of flooding and the danger of possible sewage contamination I believe that a high quality and effective filter such as this Pozzani is essential. Highly recommend this filter - which works with a small individual tap drilled through the work top. Removes that horrible chlorine taste which makes your tea taste vile, and also means the kettle doesn't scale up as much, so lasts longer. Easy to change with the plastic spanner provided. Reminder service v useful as even though I stretch a bit more time out of the filter, it means I don't have to remember or look up exactly which filter I need every time.

We've been using pozzani filters for some time now after research showed us how much cheaper they are than the Brita filter we originally had installed. It was cheaper to buy a replacement under sink unit and filter than to replace one Brita cartridge! The filters work just as well and the automatic replacement service offered by pozzani means we don't have to worry about ordering replacements. We have a combination tap so using filtered water is easy. We drink a lot of water and always use it in our kettle which prevents it from scaling up as we live in a hard water area. I love my new kitchen and the filter tap is one of the best things in it! I strongly recommend anyone who drinks a lot of water to consider installing this system. It's easy to do and cheap to run!

I've been using this filter type for just over a year and I am please with its performance. I live in a hard water area now I use filtered water in the kettle there is no sign of any calcium build-up.

Returns
