Due to the ion exchange resin inside the filter it can cause a drop in both the pH and alkalinity of the water. For use in drinking water this will be fine however in some applications such as home brewing this might not be desirable.
This filter is designed to fit all industry standard 10” Big Blue housings, and it is advised that the filter is changed every 6 months however this does not take into account usage or water quality.
